Rehoboth Beach Main Street Update
Welcome March 2019! What’s happening at Rehoboth Beach Main Street?
The Rehoboth Beach Main Street’s Economic Vitality Committee, University of Delaware Sea Grant, and Biden School of Policy and Administration recently hosted a Strategic Doing ™ Workshop at Rehoboth Beach City Hall. All Rehoboth Beach businesses and property owners located within a designated area of the downtown commercial district were invited to attend and members of City leadership observe. With the meeting cap of 25 participants, the workshop focused on businesses located on Wilmington Avenue, Baltimore Avenue, Rehoboth Avenue, 1st Street and 2nd Street. Teams were formed and strategies were created with the goal to increase business visitation and encourage foot traffic movement from one street or avenue to the other.
The Economic Vitality Committee is also working with our next group of Capstone Students from the University of Delaware, Biden School of Public Policy and Administration. The students will conduct a spring 2019 survey of downtown Rehoboth Beach residents – More details to come.
Rehoboth Beach Main Street’s Design Committee created Rehoboth In Bloom. Their first volunteer meeting took place February 15 and over 25 people attended, ready to help. Look for new planters with beautiful flowers in downtown Rehoboth Beach this summer! Are you interested in participating or making a donation to this cause? Give us a call!
Rehoboth Beach Main Street Design Committee is bringing back the Cottage and Town Awards which will take place Sunday, May 5, 2019, and they are coordinating the Rehoboth Beach Main Street 2019 Banner Program – More details to come.
Our Organization committee is planning updates to the Rehoboth Beach Main Street website, and the Promotion Committee is working on great events for 2019.
