The Rehoboth Beach Main Street, Inc. (RBMS) Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Dan Slagle has been named Executive Director of Rehoboth Beach Main Street, Inc.
With more than 30 years’ small business experience, Dan has the skill set to successfully collaborate with Rehoboth Beach business owners, merchants, residents and community leaders to promote the positive image of downtown Rehoboth Beach as a great place to visit, shop, dine and invest.
“Businesses need customers every day to succeed. Through teamwork, collaboration and communication,” said Executive Director Slagle. “I’m looking forward to leading Rehoboth Beach Main Street in its economic revitalization efforts.”

Welcome March 2019! What’s happening at Rehoboth Beach Main Street?
The Rehoboth Beach Main Street’s Economic Vitality Committee, University of Delaware Sea Grant, and Biden School of Policy and Administration recently hosted a Strategic Doing ™ Workshop at Rehoboth Beach City Hall. All Rehoboth Beach businesses and property owners located within a designated area of the downtown commercial district were invited to attend and members of City leadership observe. With the meeting cap of 25 participants, the workshop focused on businesses located on Wilmington Avenue, Baltimore Avenue, Rehoboth Avenue, 1st Street and 2nd Street. Teams were formed and strategies were created with the goal to increase business visitation and encourage foot traffic movement from one street or avenue to the other.
Rehoboth Beach Main Street Announces Rehoboth in Bloom
Rehoboth Beach Main Street (RBMS) is proud to announce the creation of Rehoboth in Bloom (RIB). Cindy Lovett, Chairperson of the Rehoboth Beach Main Street Design Committee states, “We are excited to create this new initiative for downtown Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Our goal is to evolve into a future affiliate of the international America in Bloom program. We are currently purchasing 30 self-watering EarthPlanters and are seeking funding from corporate sponsorships, downtown businesses and private donations to help with this effort. Thirty locations have been identified to place these planters within the first block of Baltimore, Wilmington, and Rehoboth Avenues, which will be maintained by RIB volunteers. We need to think big but start small!!”
What’s happening at Rehoboth Beach Main Street-
The Promotions Committee reports, the Rehoboth Beach Cookie Crawl, held December 21, was a success, attracting many visitors into downtown Rehoboth Beach for holiday shopping and dining. Rehoboth Beach Main Street will bring this event back next year with additional promotional efforts. 2019 initiatives are currently on the coordination phase to attract visitors into downtown Rehoboth Beach, Delaware year round.

REHOBOTH BEACH MAIN STREET ANNOUCES 2018, SIGN AND AWNING MATCHING GRANT PROGRAM
Rehoboth Beach Main Street (RBMS) is pleased to announce their Annual Sign and Awning Matching Grant Program available through 2018. This program is offered to businesses within City of Rehoboth Beach City Limits to help defray the costs of new signs and awnings.
One of Rehoboth Beach Main Street’s community partners is TECHNO GOOBER, which designed and built our new website! The Goobers were easy to work with and developed an awesome website based on our specifications, including a searchable database of all of our business members’ descriptions as well as an online calendar promoting DOWNTOWN Rehoboth Beach! Their continuing effort in improving our website has been outstanding and we are so proud to have partnered with the men and women of Techno Goober!!
